Trinket Tin Workshop
Come decorate, collage, and create your own tiny treasure box at our Trinket Tin Workshop—a playful, hands-on art experience where you’ll transform a simple tin into a one-of-a-kind place to keep all your little treasures.
We’re so excited to continue our partnership with Local Color for another creative community event at Local Color Big Arts! This is a donation-based workshop, giving you the chance to spend an evening making something fun and connecting with other creative people while supporting both Our Hub and Local Color.
🎨 What You’ll Make
You’ll start with your own trinket tin, then customize it using a mix of collage, color, texture, beads, paper, and whatever other creative goodies catch your eye.
Your finished tin could become a place to keep:
💍 Jewelry and rings
🪙 Coins and tiny treasures
💌 Little notes and memories
🧵 Crafting odds and ends
🌿 Nature finds
✨ Or anything else that deserves a tiny home!
There’s no particular aesthetic you need to follow. Make it colorful and maximalist, weird and whimsical, simple and minimal, nostalgic and vintage—or completely unexpected.
🎁 What You’ll Get
Everyone will receive a trinket tin to decorate and take home, along with access to a collection of fun materials to make it your own, including:

And plenty of other materials to spark your creativity
You’ll be encouraged to experiment with layering, arranging, gluing, embellishing, and mixing materials to create a tiny piece of art that is uniquely yours.
💜 A Creative Night With Local Color
We’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with Local Color and bring another fun, accessible art-making experience to Big Arts.
This is a donation-based event, with donations supporting both Our Hub and Local Color. If you’re able, contribute what feels comfortable to you—your support helps us continue creating opportunities for people to make art, meet others, and have a little more play in their lives.
🌟 No Experience Necessary
You don’t need to be an artist or have any crafting experience to join us. There’s no “right” way to decorate your tin and no need to make it perfect.
Just choose the materials that speak to you, start layering, and see where your creativity takes you.
Come make something tiny. Get a little messy. Meet some creative humans. And leave with a miniature treasure box that is completely your own.
